The Venus Moose Trap

Venus Moose This large, slow witted South-east Asian plant of the early prehistoric era - a distant relative of today's insectivorous Venus Flytrap - possessed a highly creative method for enticing its only prey, the Prehistoric Moose. The Venus Moose Trap was an accomplished singer, a real crooner able to compose and execute stirring ballads irresistible to musically-minded Moose. Once its distracted prey was in striking distance, the Venus Moose Trap simply closed its giant leaves around the Moose and spent the next few months slowly digesting the carcass. Unfortunately, the type of moose that roamed the prehistoric Asian continent was completely deaf, and so the Venus Moose Trap vanished from the face of the Earth shortly after it appeared.
